The Machina splash guard extension for the BMW R1300 GS and R1300 GSA (2023+) bolts directly onto the factory spray guard and doubles its coverage area — protecting your pillion passenger and rear luggage from spray that the OEM guard misses. The R1300 GS already ships with a factory spray guard, but in real wet-road conditions your pillion gets soaked, your top box gets filthy, and your tail bags take a soaking. This extension fixes that.
It attaches using the existing OEM screws — zero new holes in the bike, no drilling, no permanent modification. The ABS panel extends the factory guard both vertically and laterally, reaching further down and wider to intercept spray before it reaches your pillion and rear luggage. Matte black finish is colour-matched to the OEM spray guard.
Fits both the R1300 GS and R1300 GSA (2023 onwards). Compatible with all rear luggage systems — OEM top box, tail bags, soft panniers. Fully reversible. For full rear protection, pair with the Machina Tyre Hugger for the R1300 GS.

Yes — significantly. The extension doubles the effective coverage area of the OEM spray guard, intercepting spray that would otherwise reach the pillion seat and jacket. It makes a real difference on long wet-road days.
Yes. The extension shields above and around the OEM guard, reducing spray directed at the top box base, tail bags, and soft panniers mounted on the rack.
No — it attaches using the existing OEM screws on the factory spray guard. Zero new holes in the bike. All fasteners included.
Yes. The extension mounts at the spray guard level and does not obstruct the subframe luggage mounting points. Compatible with OEM top box, tail bags, and most aftermarket pannier systems.
It works with the OEM guard — not a replacement. The OEM spray guard must be fitted. The Machina extension bolts onto it to expand its coverage area.
Pair it with the Machina Tyre Hugger for the R1300 GS. The extension protects pillion and luggage from spray; the tyre hugger protects the rear shock absorber and suspension linkage from grit and debris.
